In addition, I offer tailored advice on posture and exercise to support your recovery and prevention of further injury.
Osteopathy is a primary healthcare practice, so I work with other healthcare practitioners to treat conditions including:
Hip and knee pain from osteoarthritis | Acute and chronic backache | Sciatica | Neck pain | Tension-type headaches | Frozen shoulder and shoulder pain | Tennis elbow and golfers’ elbow | Wrist pain | Digestive pain
I am a registered osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). I graduated Master of Osteopathy with distinction in 2022 (University College of Osteopathy, London). With over 15 years of experience as a rehabilitation exercise instructor, I provide person-centred care to promote wellbeing and support your innate capacity to heal. Beyond treating the symptoms of your condition, I work with you as a unique individual, listening with care and attention to pinpoint what needs to be looked at to ensure lasting health.
I came to osteopathy from a background in rehabilitation, working within the NHS and private practice.
My passion is to support you to find a path through sometimes conflicting information about your condition, to understand osteopathic treatment and its outcomes in light of your personal situation and the context of your life.
I like to see my patients at times when they experience stiffness or pain most acutely, so that I can better understand how those symptoms affect the individual. For example, if you suffer stiffness from rheumatoid arthritis early in the morning, I will work with you then so that we can better see the effects of the treatment.
Key to my approach is the practice of narrative medicine. This means I place a high value on listening to you, understanding your history and present circumstances, so that my treatment works for you.
